Some day.
Two words that my wife and I had been saying for 10 years when we would talk about taking a nice vacation/delayed honeymoon. Those two words sent me down the personal finance rabbit hole when I realized, a decade later, we were no closer to that “some day.” Dozens of books and thousands of hours of podcasts later, I realized I wanted to do more than just help myself. I wanted to help other people learn:
Money doesn’t have to be scary.
Budgeting is (literally and figuratively) NOT a four letter word.
Investing doesn’t have to be complicated.
How to identify and tune out the noise designed to keep us stressed about our finances.
I have served as a military musician since 2005 with the Marine Corps, active Army, and am currently a full-time staff member of the 34th Infantry Division Band in the Minnesota National Guard.
When not hanging out with my wife, Erin, and son, Erik, I like to stay active by running, hiking, swinging kettlebells, and keeping two cats from destroying all of our furniture.
