Richard George, CPA

I graduated with an accounting degree in 1993, received my CPA certification in 1998, and my MBA in 2001.  Before becoming a financial planner, I had a long history in personal finance, beginning with Larry Burkett’s financial counselor training in the late 90’s. I have been an instructor for Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University, and an administrator of Dave Ramsey’s SmartDollar workplace training.

My wife and I live in Greenwood, Arkansas. I have three grown children and two granddaughters so far. I serve as an elder in my church and enjoy working around our home. I am currently studying up on homesteading, and my next project is to raise a batch of pastured meat-chickens for our freezer.

I recently retired from full-time work as a corporate controller in 2023 at age 54, two years later than I had planned.  I believe we were financially prepared to retire in 2021, however, there is more to retirement planning than just getting the numbers right.

My goal is to prepare our clients for success in getting not only the financial side right, but the non-financial side as well. It’s really about confidence.

Let’s look at your story. We’ll talk about the dreams you have for your ideal retirement. We’ll see where you are today and put you on a track to be living those dreams, not “someday” in the future, but a real day on your calendar.

We’ll review status as we go, adjust as needed, and when that day comes you will be ready. Ready with confidence.  Confidence not only to jump with both feet into retirement, but also with a detailed plan of how your retirement will be funded, and which buckets to pull from as we optimize things like taxes and healthcare subsidies. Confidence to tap your life savings and enjoy your early years in retirement while you’re young.  Confidence because retirement is long, and you’ve done the work.

You’re ready.

Let’s get started.
